I’m Your Captain – Caddo Lake August 19-20, 2009
Wednsday evening we took a tour on the Graceful Ghost, a steamboat paddlewheel vessel. It was quite interesting and the captain had some stories to tell. I’m not sure how accurate they were, but it was big fun just the same. Thursday morning we went fishing with Guide Paul Keith. The guy is everything they say he is. In 50+ years on this earth, I’ve never been freshwater fishing with a guide but always wanted to do so. We had a blast.
My daughter caught a 5lb bass and made sure to let me know that between the two of us, it was the biggest fish caught. When I quizzed her about our trip, she raged about that fishing trip.
What’s even cooler is that it was $200. I’m used to taking half day trips here in the Galveston Bay area for nearly twice that amount. I can assure you we’ll be back.
