Bay Knoll homes were built by David Weekley Homes, Village Builders, and the now defunct Ryland Homes in 1987 through 1991.  There are 660 single family homes in Bay Knoll.  Bay Knoll Homes range in size from 1,900 square feet to 3,300 and have 3-5 bedrooms, 2 – 2.5 baths and 2 car garages.  A small handful of homes have 3 car garage detached garages.  Lot sizes can be from 6,500 square feet to 15,000 with a typical one being 8,400.

Bay Knoll is the closest single family residential area to I-45 making for quick commutes to either downtown Houston or Galveston.  This community is served by the Clear Creek ISD.
